These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services provided by Mourning Ventures of Maine LLC ("Mourning Ventures," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Services

Mourning Ventures provides non-clinical grief care and education, advance life planning guidance, and grief-informed workplace consultation and support. These services are intended for personal and internal business use only.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the website or services

  • Impersonate Mourning Ventures or any of its representatives

  • Use the services in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations

 

We reserve the right to restrict access to users who engage in prohibited conduct.

4. Third-Party Websites and Services

 

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Use of third-party websites is at your own risk.

5. Dispute Resolution

 

We aim to resolve any concerns informally first. If a dispute arises:

  • Both parties agree to engage in good faith informal negotiations for 30 days before pursuing other action.

  • If unresolved, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in the United States, in Piscataquis County, Maine.

  • We agree to cover excessive arbitration fees.

  • If a matter proceeds to court, it will be in the state courts of Maine.

  • Any claims must be brought within 1 year of the cause of action arising.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you for any claims will be limited to the lesser of the amount paid by you for the service or $500. This limitation applies to all claims, including negligence and breach of contract.

7. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We will post a notice on our website prior to the effective date.

  • Updates related to new functionality, bug fixes, security, or legal orders may be effective immediately.
